prepare a presentation about a scientific topic they have worked on in the field of geodesy and geoinformation,
respect presentation requirements (e.g. duration, format) during the preparation of the presentation,
effectively use a tool to create presentations
give a scientific talk, and
defend the presented work in front of experts.
In agreement with the supervisor, a presentation is prepared and independently practised.
Independent preparation of the presentation of the bachelor thesis in agreement with the supervisor:
discussion about the form of presentation
discussion about the expertise of the audience at the presentation and selection of the essential aspects of the bachelor thesis
independent training with the tool for preparing the presentation
independent practicing of the presentation
dealing with suggestions of the supervisor to optimize the presentation
The given presentation and the public discussion afterwards are graded by the supervisor. Relevant factors for grading of the presentation are e.g. comprehensibility, structure, consistency and correctness of the presentation. Relevant for the grading of the discussion part is how well in-depth questions can be answered, if connections to other fields are made and how critical questions are handled.
