After successful completion of the course, students are able to describe and apply instruments and methods of height determination, to reproduce the essential procedures of electro-optical distance measurement and to understand and calculate the basic types of polygons. Furthermore, they will be able to name the essential components of an electronic total station, describe how they work and recognize possible effects on measurement results.
The lecture is given in German. Please see the German description for details.
Slide script, calculation examples, discussion of case studies
Examination mode: Examinations take place in written form with a written exam; after passing the written exam, the oral part of the exam takes place approx. 1 week later.
Solving arithmetical problems e.g.
- different types of polygonal traverses,- various aspects of trigonometric and geometric levelling,- determination of a completely reduced and corrected distance from the raw measured values phase and/or time
Answering comprehension questions.
The content of the oral examination is the lecture material.
