Learning outcomes

After successful completion of the course, students are able to put into practice the basic skills and knowledge of planing, implementation and analysis of GNSS measurements for positioning and navigation.

Subject of course

  • GNSS data formats (navigation messages, RINEX)
  • Quality check and transformation of GNSS positions into national reference frames
  • Selection and handling of GNSS antenna/receiver
  • Planning and performing point determination (post-processing of baselines and RTK)

Teaching methods

  • Solving given examples using MATLAB/Python sofware
  • GNSS field measurements
  • Introduction to open-source software for GNSS applications
