Lectures and discussion of methods and sensors for the areawise determination of the geometry of a freeform shell as well as of its deformations. Terrestrial laser scanners and laser trackers together with close-range scanners are used for the areawise geometric determination. The geometric modelling is done with B-Splines. The monitoring is performed using robot total stations and is therefore point-based. The measuring systems and the developed algorithms are tested at an freeform shell. Herefore, a measuring campaign in Kärnten (3-5 days) will take place in Kärnten.
Combination of lectures, labs and workshops including realization of proposed concepts (laser scanner, laser tracker + t-scan, MatLab, Leica total station).
