Discussing the split-up of Astronomy into 10-20 special disciplines (1850-2000) and 50-100 different measuring techniques from classical visual telescope to Spectroscopy, Röntgen Astrophysics, CCD and Space techniques.
Learning facts on Sun and its energy sources, Solar system, Planets (espec. Mars, tectonics, atmospheres, space probes), Asteroids and possible danger for life on Earth, meteorites & comets, interstellar dust, solar wind...
Stellar physics (spectroscopy etc., HR diagram, star development, giant & dwarfs), Variables, Pulsars, Novae & Supernovae, black holes, galaxies, supergalaxies etc., Cosmology and related questions (big bang vs. bible? Close or open Universe...) and some Philosophy, Astrology, Life in the Universe etc.
