Learning outcomes

After successful completion of the course, students are able to explain in detail the technique Very Long Baseline Interferometry (VLBI) (including modelling of the observations and parameter estimation), the determination of global reference frames and the transformation with Earth orientation paramters between them.

Examination modalities

Oral exam of about 25 minutes. About four topics will be discussed in the exam. Subjects of the exam are taken from the powerpoint slides, but the knowledge of specific equations is not tested.
