After successful completion of the course, students are able to...
Structure of the notion 'error', selected sections from matrix calculation necessary for solving large linear equation systems, calculus of probability, randomized parameters and their distribution, spreading of variance, adjustment methods, calculation of most likely solutions for parameters and their accuracies, analysis and interpretation of observation series, statistical tests for geodetic models.
Based on a detailed text, the concepts are discussed, formulae developped, and illustrative examples presented in form of frontal lectures.
In winter term 2021/22 the lecture will be held in a hybrid mode. The first two meetings are planned in presence, but will also be accessible via Zoom. The following Zoom-room will be used:
https://tuwien.zoom.us/j/99228952924?pwd=Y2dNK0xYNjhzeGFwdFBhb3pjdHlaUT09
The organisation of the remaining meetings will depend on feedback from the participants and the development of the Covid pandemia (resp. on the demands of the university). The presentations will be live.
The lecture hall is booked for the compelet winter term and can be used to access the online meetings (with 50% of it's capacity). The availability can change during the winter term.
Written examination of the knowledge about the application of the theory on the basis of examples like in the exerciseOral examination of theoretical knowledge (focus on interrelations, less on explicit formula knowledge)
Registration in TISS
The script can be purchased from the lecturer (€ 13,-, in german language)
Basic knowledge in mathematics (matrix calculations, differential calculus), basic geodetic knowledge
