– Understand the basics of database and spatial database – Work with PostgreSQL and PostGIS, create SQL queries – Understand web services and open standards (WMS, WFS, WCS, WPS, SLD, GML) – Work with GeoServer to publish spatial data on the web

Theoretical lectures and a basic introduction to a software is provided

Please note, that the lectures of this class with take place blocked between 21.3.22 and 4.4.22. Assignment and Project Deadlines will be discussed during the first class on 21.3.22. Most of the class will be given with the help of Dr Barend Kobben from Uni Twente.

A project has to be successfully completed.

Only a limited number of places are available for this course. This course is compulsory for "066 200 Cartography". For the remaining seats priority will be given to the study programmes "066 421 Geodesy and Geoinformation" and "066 464 Geomatics Engineering and Cartography".
