Aim of course

This course shows how to understand and manage the whole production of a cartographic product (from concept to map). Additionally, students will practice presentation techniques.

project management, communication, team work, quality management, map editing, geodata, copyright, economic aspects of maps, presentation techniques (Subject to modifications!)

Additional information

  • The course will be held blocked. There will be approx. 3 classes in November (Tuesday, 1630–1800), one class in January and individual meetings in December.
  • The course will only be held if there are enough registrations in TISS until 17 October 2011.
  • Registered students will be informed after 17 October 2011 about if and when the classes will take place.
  • The course is intended for master students who already know the basics of cartography.
  • It's important to register for the course in TISS to get access to the e-learning service TUWEL! Note: "watching/subscribing" is not the same as "registration"!

  • Seminarraum 126 is located on the first floor of the building in Gußhausstraße 30 (same as Erzherzog-Johann-Platz 1).
  • This course consists of: lecture blocks, group meetings and a final presentation meeting.
