After successful completion of the course, students are able to understand Spatial Data Infrastructures, to fill information into the components of a SDI, to conceptualize a service-oriented system and to make spatial data on the web accessible.
Presentations introduce into the content, use cases and state of the art research. The individual contents are worked out and discussed by using selected exercises.
Proof of performance is provided with the current exercise examples and a final project work (to the extend of an exercise sheet).
