Aim of course

Media play an important role for the transmission of spatial related data. In many cases the same content has to be adapted to various media. Therefore the use of cross-media publishing is one important aim. The aim of this lecture is to give an overview of usable media, their characteristics and actual processes for the transmission of spatial information.

Subject of course

Theroetical part: Print-Media Techniques, Geo-Media Techniques, Printing Creation, Prepress, Quality Management, Tonal Value Corrections, Raster Image Processing, Data Formats, Color Management, Direct Imaging, Non Impact Printing, E-Books, E-Paper, Film Production, Graphic Design, Layout, Corporate Design, Typography

Practical part: globe, raster image processing, vector image processing, desktop publishing (folder), 3D animation (subject to modifications!)
