After successful completion of the course, students are able to formulate the basic navigation principles and understand how these relate to their own navigation skills. Furthermore, students have practical experience in the use of inertial sensors, have a basic knowledge of sensor integration using filter solutions and are able to analyze and critically evaluate the performance of selected navigation systems.
Introduction into human spatial navigation, the principles of navigation, magnetic field navigation, inertial navigation systems, filtering and multi-sensor systems and their applications in modern navigation devices.
The lecture starts this semester on Wednesday, 11 October at 13.15h in Sem B, green tower, 2OG in presence.
Within the first lecture we discuss the availability of lecture notes and fix the schedule for the upcoming lectures.
