  • explain the scope and limits of the authority of engineering consultants,
  • describe the procedure for obtaining that authority,
  • enumerate the circumstances of the loss of authority,
  • explain relevant legal terms and regulations, and
  • explain economic concepts relevant to engineering firms (business forms, taxes, accounting, bidding, etc.).
