After successful completion of the course, students are able to specify topographic information and sources for its derivation and to compare the advantages and disadvantages of different acquisition methods. They can explain methods for the automatic derivation of topographic information and categorize interpolation methods for curves and surfaces. Students can recognize properties of topographic products and assign them to the methods used. They can justify the choice of a measurement and processing method for deriving topographic information. Students can describe visualization methods for terrain models and explain the quality and production of ortho photos. Students can analyze given tasks for obtaining spatial information and suggest suitable methods.
oral exams
Students are asked to describe methods, to evaluate and compare them.
