After successful completion of the course, students are able to write, translate and test simple programs in the Java programming language independently. Students are able to create variables with predefined and self-defined types and are familiar with the classical control structures and basic concepts of object-oriented programming (classes, methods, parameters). Students understand the limitations of computer arithmetic.
With help of some basic programs the analysis of problems and the transformation to algorithms will be shown. The algorithms will be realized with the programming language Java. Some basic programming tasks has to be solved.
Presentation of the concepts of programming languages using Java. Simple examples to demonstrate the concepts. Exercise examples supported by tutors.
4 compulsory exercises and 2 tests.
The student has to be enrolled for at least one of the studies listed below
