After successful completion of the course, students are able to explain the data acquisition process of satellite- and airborne sensors with physical models and can assess the  usefulness of remote sensing techniques in different applications.

The lecture follows the available script, which is also suitable for self study. The following teaching methods are used:

• On-line lectures with slides and interactive questions
• Selected derivations are explained in videos
• TUWEL quizzes to recap self study material

The performance of the students is assessed via a written on-line multiple chouce exam. The written exam combines thematic questions with the derivation and application of physical models.
