After successful completion of the course, students are able to explain the data acquisition process of satellite- and airborne sensors with physical models and can assess the usefulness of remote sensing techniques in different applications.
The lecture follows the available script, which is also suitable for self study. The derivation of important physical models is explained step by step on the blackboard or using slides. Students can prepare for the exam using a list of examplary questions.
The performance of the students is assessed via a written exam, which is held after the completion of the lectures. The written exam combines thematic questions with the derivation and application of physical models.
