Learning outcomes

After successful completion of the course, students are able to apply hydrografic measuments  with multisensorssystems in practice. This is very important for the modern river trafic and inland water transport. The methods of an economical waterway transport are based on such real-time measurements.

Subject of course

The comprehensive possibilities to record and analyse the bottom of water courses are introduced. The basics of efficient waterway maintenance based on up-to-date measurement data will be presented. By means of numerous examples, these possibilities will be demonstrated.

Teaching methods

Discussion of case studies, interview with experts, calculation of exercises.
