Learning outcomes

 After successful completion of the course, students are able to distinguish the essential procedures in hydrographic 3 D geodesy. These are introduced by excursions with the company's own single and multibeam systems and the knowledge from the lectures is deepened on site.

Subject of course

Hydrografic measuments of river floor und seabed becomes more important due to ecological and economic considerations. The metrological processes are the subject of the exercise. The measurements called sounding are realized by locating and sonar with respect to common time reference. Modern processes of hydrografic measuments are presented.
