Learning outcomes

After successful completion of the course, students are able to have a basic knowledge of river floor und seabed hydrografic measuments and construction site setup. In the course of the sensor fusion the hydrografic measuments makes the essential part of the basic data.

Subject of course

The basic knowledge of hydrographic surveying for river and lake bottoms is taught. As further examples the project "Wörthersee" and the construction site Waterfront in Belgrade are be shown. Applications of soundings (= locating + sounding + time reference) are presented and the current state of development with focus on the "Austrian Danube" are shown.
