After successful completion of the course, students are able to complete tasks in satellite based positioning and satellite geodesy which require the proceesing of GNSS or satellite ranging real-time data streams
During the semester 3 individual programs/tasks have to be accomplished as group-activity of 3-4 students. Each task is discussed at its date of issue and in additional appointments. Results are presented by the student groups during the final presentation.
The first lecture is therefore scheduled for March 5th, 14.00h in SEM DA grün, 02B
On Tuesday 5 March, 2024 will be
- the presentation of 3 projects/programs to be handled during the semester
- arrangement of student groups
- presentation of the first program
- agreement on follow-up dates
The assessment is based on the presentation, and submission of the presentation slides for three assigned programs at the dates mentioned in the introductory session. A later submission of partial achievements is possible in justified individual cases.
In the first place, correct understanding of the problem, the applied approach to solving the tasks, and presentation techniques are evaluated.

To join this lecture successfully knowledge of the contents provided in the bachelor lectures Satellite Geodesy (VO+UE) are required..
Knowledge to work with MATLAB (or similar) is recommended.
