Learning outcomes

After successful completion of the course, students are able to understand the fundaments of geo data modelling and processing as well as their cartographic visualisation and communication through maps.

Subject of course

- Fundamentals of Geoinformation, for instance, fundamental ideas of spatial cognition, modelling as raster or vecor data sets, discussion of operations on both data models

- Fundamentals of Cartography, for instance fundamentals of cartographic modelling, base maps, visualisation of thematic data in the context of environmental issues
