After successful completion of the course, students are able to carry out transformations between astronomical coordinate systems and different time systems, to explain conservative force fields and to interpret height systems.
Mathematical and astronomical basics of Higher Geodesy, Earth orientation and time systems, potential theory and Earth gravity field, height systems
During the oral examination, which takes about 20 minutes, students have to answer questions in a conversation. Eventually, it is necessary that the students draw sketches.
