After successful completion of the course, students are able to understand the link between electrical properties of the subsurface relevant environmental, hydrogeological and biogeochemical processes. To this end, the students will get into details of the different electrical and electromagnetic method, as required to better identify their advantages and disadvantages as well as to design a geophysical survey. Based on the revision of to date literature, the student will review the recent methodologies for the collection, modeling and interpretation of electrical and electromagnetic methods.
Combined frontal lectures with seminars of the students and discussions from to-date scientic material (Inverted classroom)
The student should present the application of electrical and electromagnetical methods for a given problem in geosciences. Followed by questions from the audience and invited PhD students. The evaluation is based on the ability of the student to properly address such questions.
