This lecture comprises the theoretical and methodological foundation of processing seismic data which are used in seismic exploration. On the basis of this knowledge professional seismic processing and interpretation systems can be self-reliantly and competently operated.
This lecture treats the physics of seismic wave propagation, the observation of seismic waves and signal processing of seismic data. Further issues are the seismic methods, as Reflection- and Refraction seismics, the Tomography and Surface Waves, and their modeling and inversion.
