After successful completion of the course, students are able to assess new developments in the fields
of global satellite navigation systems (GNSS) as well as regional overlay systems (SBAS).
In addition, the application of products of local GNSS services and global GNSS-data services will be
conveyed.
Status and perspectives of global satellite navigation systems (GPS,Galileo, GLONASS, Beidou),especially focusing on new Galileo Services.
GNSS static point positioning in real time and post-processing, GNSS error modelling,
GNSS reference station networks for RTK positioning, GNSS standard exchange formats, EGNOS(SBAS), GNSS Signal Authentication
and Integrity, GNSS services /service provider/ and products (e.g. IGS and EUREF/EPN).
Learning contents will be delivered via power-presentations and discussed with regards to content.
The lectures will be complemented by presentations of current research carried out at the
the FB Höhere Geodäsie in the fields of RTK- and PPP-positioning.
In SS 2024 this lecture will be provided in presence.
The first lecture is therefore scheduled for March 6th, 14.00 h in SEM DA grün, 02A
The lecture will be assessed by a final oral exam.
Major topics to be reviewed are status and new developments of global GNSS,
GNSS signals, IGS, EUREF, GNSS-Reference Frames,
GNSS-error modelling, RTK- and PPP Positioning,
EGNOS., Integrity.
Please register to the lecture until Tuesday March 5th at the latest
best regards
