Aim of course
Ability to work with mathematical standard software from the fields of numerics, Computer algebra, and statistics - including programming of these systems. Working knowledge in scientific text processing based on LaTeX.
Subject of course
Numerical Linear Algebra with MATLAB. Computer Algebra system MAPLE. Statistic software package R. Scientific text processing in LaTeX (de facto standard). Practical exercises accompany the lecture.
Additional information
Recommended for 2nd or 3rd semester, preferably after having attended the course 'Introduction to programming for TM'.
