After successful completion of the course, students are able to master the content mentioned below and thus basic algorithms of numerical mathematics. They have a basic knowledge of assessing the efficiency and accuracy of numerical algorithms and their implementation on computers.
Tutorial for the course Numerical Analysis: Foundations of numerical methods and their implementation.
Practicing the lecture material on the basis of theoretical and programming tasks, presentation and discussion of solutions in the exercise; if necessary, written elaboration of solutions.
Preleminary discussion in the first lecture of "Numerische Mathematik" (October 5).
The presence in the exercise class is mandatory!
The exercise class consists of two parts:
Part 1: From October to December we hand out weekly assignments via TUWEL. Each assignment consists of 6 exercises of which 50% have to be correctly solved.
Part 2: In January we will hand out a programming project, which has to be solved and presented. The respective tutor will provide further information.
