After successful completion of the course, students are able to tackle and solve a concrete problem with econometric methods and to present the corresponing results in an understandable kind of manner.

Anhand einer konkreten Aufgabenstellung soll eine (kleine) Ökonometrische Studie erstellt werden, beginnend mit der Konkretisierung der Aufgabenstellung, Datensammlung bzw. Datenaufbereitung, Modellierung und Schätzung und abschliessender Dokumentation der Ergebnisse. Die Auswertungen sollen (möglichst) mit R durchgeführt werden. 

Die Themen/Fragestellungen werden je nach Interesse und Vorkenntnissen der TeilnehmerInnen ausgewählt. Je nach Anzahl der TeilnehmerInnen ist auch eine Gruppenarbeit möglich.
