After successful completion of the course, students are able to

•  evaluate and classify different solution concepts for game-theoretical problems
• formulate games, model them and apply suitable solution concepts
• conclude solutions to decision-making problems with more than a single decision-maker
• justify strategic thinking and acting

(Bi)Matrix games, saddle point, minimax theorem, combinatorial games, Nash-equilibrium and refinements, inperfect and incomplete information - Bayes games, cooperative game theory, evolutionary game theory, differential games, bargaining theory, theory of auction, possibly mean field games

The basic contents and concepts are presented by the head of the LVA and illustrated and discussed with the help of examples.

Furthermore, the students work through the corresponding chapters in the textbook by Peters (see literature refences below).

The performance is assessed by an examination (written and / or oral) at the end of the semester.
