After successful completion of the course, students are able to

• explain selected topics related to co-insurance and reinsurance,
• explain the accounting of insurance companies,
• describe insurance company accounts,
• explain technical provisions,
• explain the taxation of insurance companies,
• demonstrate the regulations on the capital resources of insurance companies (Solvency II),
• name and explain the special features of various insurance branches (life, health, accident and fire insurance).

Reinsurance and Co-insurance, Accounting of insurance compenies, Technical provisions, Taxation of insurance companies, Solvency, Chracteristics of selected lines of business (life insurance, health insurance, casualty insurance, fire insurance)

The basic contents and concepts are presented by the head of the LVA and illustrated and discussed with the help of examples.

The lecture will be held in a row.

The performance is assessed by an examination at the end of the semester.
