Aim of course

Comprehensive transfer of information and understanding of different types, techniques, effects, applications of reinsurance in modern insurance

Subject of course

1) General introduction in history/origin, meaning, tasks of reinsurance under special consideration of the influence/effect on National Economy. 2) The "Reinsurance Market" and the "Market Players". 3) Detailed explanation of the different types of reinsurance under special consideration of Proportional Reinsurance (Treaty Reinsurance) in Life- insurance and Non-Life-Insurance. 4) Reinsurance programs and -models and their different effects under application of actual catastrophe losses. 5) Reinsurance Accounting
