After successful completion of the course, students are able to judiciously apply (in various contexts) what they have learned in the lecture,  This is based on a thorough understanding of the fundamental ideas underlying the material covered in the course. (NB: The lecture is held in German.)

Universal algebra; basic algebraic structures (groups, rings, fields, lattices, Boolean algebras). Free algebras. Homomorphism and isomorphism theorems. Finitely generated abelian groups, divisibility, polynomials and formal power series. Field extensions, finite fields.schriftlich und mündlich
