After successful completion of the course, students are able to explain the fundamental concepts of the symplectic geometry (and symplectic capacities) and to apply the methods they have learned during the course.
Introduction to symplectic geometry (following the books "Lectures on Symplectic Geometry" by Ana Cannas da Silva, and "Symplectic Invariants and Hamiltonian Dynamics" by Helmut Hofer and Eduard Zehnder), theorem of Darboux, symplectic capacities, Gromov's non-squeezing theorem, Viterbo's conjecture.
