After successful completion of the course, students are able to deal with with various algebraic, combinatorial and topological properties of automorphism groups of omega-categorical structures. They will be prepared to follow research talks on this topic.

We will investigate the group structure of automorphism groups of omega-categorical structures such as their normal subgroups, combinatorial properties of such groups such as fixed points in certain actions of the group, and the interplay betweeen their algebraic structure and their natural topology.

Students present and discuss specific research articles on the topic.
