After successful completion of the course, students are able to present fundamental topics from universal algebra. Particular emphasis will be put on the interaction between the structure of an algebra and its equations. The course will provide students with knowledge of both classical and recent results on this topic.
Mal'cev conditions, structural implications of equations that hold in a general algebra.
Students prepare talks followed by discussions of the subjects presented.
