Students are able to acquire ideas and concepts of higher geometry based on scientific papers and discussion of the necessary background material in the unit.  They understand the relevance of the acquired material in its scientific context and are able to prepare and present the acquired knowledge. The covered topics will provide a suitable basis for a potential Master thesis in "Higher Geometry".

Topics from higher geometry, in particular, from line or sphere geometries or from the differential geometry of curves and surfaces.

A Bachelor degree in Descriptive Geometry, or equivalent knowledge, is required.
