Learning outcomes

After successful completion of the course, students are able to integrate/differentiate in two and more variables.
Furthermore, they can compute the Fourier series as well as the Fourier/Laplace transformation.
Moreover, students are able to sole differential equations in two or more variables.
Finally, they can analyze and apply different numerical methods.

Subject of course

Calculus with two and more variables, Fourier series, transformations, differential equations, computer numerics, methods for solving linear equations, approximation and interpolation, simulation of differential equations.

Teaching methods

The methods are going to be presented within the lecture and corresponding exercises are going to be solved in the exercise-session.
