Learning outcomes

After successful completion of the course, students are able to formulate their questions regarding the topics of the lecture in more concise form, locate gaps in their own understanding and to continue self-studying the course material as well as using these facts for preparing the solutions for exercise problems with an improved background.

It is assumed that participants are taking part in the lecture "Mathematik für TCH I", given in the same term, as well.

This course will be held weekly, each monday 3 to 4 p.m. in lecture room Freihaus, DA 07A05 (offline), starting from 11 Oct 2021. This necessitates a limitation of the number of participants to at most 40 people. To avoid blocking places that might be taken by other interested students, please only register for this course if you intend to actively participate and obtain the credits (conditions, see below). Registration will be available here in TISS from 6 October 2021. In case the course will be re-scheduled to be held on-line, we shall relax the restriction on the number of participants.

The introductory meeting (specifying some more details regarding the ECTS) will take place as part of the first course meeting on 11 Oct 2021 (Freihaus, Zeichensaal 3, 7th floor, green part, DA 07A05).

The will be no seminar paper (please ignore the final line)!
