Aim of course

Introduction to algebraic structures; becoming acquainted with algebra as a language of mathematics and as a tool to solve practical problems.

Subject of course

Universal Algebra, partial orders and lattices, Boolean algebras, groups and rings, fields. Moreover, applications like concept analysis, preference relations, quantum logics, enumeration problems, an example from computer algebra, and classical Galois theory.
