After successful completion of the course, students are able to use elementary mathematical techniques and concepts, to describe properties of real functions, to examine series and sequences of real numbers, to calculate with standard functions as well as to operate differential and integral calculus. Students learn to solve basic mathematical problems and are able to be proactive by presenting solutions exercises on the blackboard.
Tutorial asoociated with course 103.057 Analysis I for TPH
The students are asked to cope with problem assignments independently without a given solution. It is expected thatthey are able to present their solution in the classroom. Some examples are more advanced but not compulsory.Complete solutions are published later on.Additionally, written exams include standard examples. Here, students are permitted to use (small) written notes (e.g., containing relevant standard formulas).
More information in lecture.
To examine the achievement two written tests have to be passed.Within 90 minutes, three text tasks are to be solved.
In addition, the active participation during the tutorials is rated.
