After successful completion of the course, students are able to
- use elementary mathematical techniques and concepts,
- examine sequences and series of real numbers,
- describe properties of real functions,
- calculate with standard functions,
- apply the concept of continuity,
- apply differential and integral calculus.
Students learn to solve basic mathematical problems and are able to be proactive by presenting their own solutions.
The students are asked to cope with problem assignments independently without a given solution.
Complete solutions are published later on.
Additionally, written exams include standard examples. Here, students are permitted to use (small) written notes.
