Learning outcomes

After successful completion of the course, students are able to give a lecture on a question on geometric and analytical inequalities, which they have dealt with in depth. In particular, this creates prerequisites for the later writing of a master's thesis.

Isoperimetric inequality, Sobolev inequality, Brunn Minkowski inequality, Petty projection inequality, affine Sobolve inequality

Teaching methods

Introduction to independent literature research and presentation of mathematical facts. Feedback on oral presentation. Individual meetings with the supervisor.
