Properties

  • Semester hours: 1.5
  • Credits: 2.0
  • Type: UE Exercise
  • Format: Presence

Learning outcomes

After successful completion of the course, students are able to check if the numerical solution of an ordinary differential equation makes sense. Furthermore, depending on the inherent structure of the differential equation, students are able to select the appropriate numerical integrator.

Subject of course

Theoretical and numerical exercises accompaning the lectures.

Teaching methods

Solution of exercise problems, possibly including numerical implementation; discussion of students' solutions in small exercise groups.

Mode of examination

Immanent

Additional information

This is the version of the "Numerical analysis of ODEs" lecture for students of the "Interdisciplinary Mathematics" master program. Compared to the VO 106.065 Numerics of differential equations, the lecture will  already end on the 3rd of June.

For students of the master course "interdisciplinary mathematics", the exercises take place(in english) every Friday 14:30-16:00 in Group 1.
