After successful completion of the course, students are able to...
understand mathematical models of the cardiovascular system in different complexity (static models, dynamic aggregated models, pulsatile models, nonlinearities in models, 1D FEM models), to describe explicit solutions and simulations of the models with suitable methods (linear analysis, ODE solver, finite elements, sensitivity equations), as well as to give an overview of analysis methods for the evaluation of biosignals from the cardiovascular system.
Information about dates and more detailed content can be found in TUWEL. Please register in the TISS group "E-Learning TUWEL" and follow the link to the TUWEL course (see above).
In addition to the classical lecture, this course contains as an exercise part the independent preparation of a topic for modelling and analysis of the cardiovascular system with a short presentation (literature is provided).
The course is held by mainly by teaching on site, please refer to the associated TUWEL course for detailed information.
Examination-immanent task (preparation and short presentation of a topic with provided literature) and final oral examination.
