Learning outcomes

After successful completion of the course, students are able to write a bachelor's thesis.The subject of the bachelor's thesis will be taken from the recent research in the field of analysis or numerics for partial differential equations.

Subject of course

A project work has to be carried out in the field of analysis or numerics for partial differential equations. The subject will be derived from the recent research. Examples are nonlinear diffusion equations or hyperbolic conservation equations, with applications from physics, thermodynamics or biology.

Teaching methods

The task consists in preparation of a scientific text, practical computer work and the writing of a bachelor's thesis.
