Aim of course

Basic knowledge from modeling and simulation, as well as animation in the practical implementation of a simulation study. Fundamental knowledge of at least one standard simulation language or environment.

Subject of course

After an introduction to the relevant simulation and modeling software, current tasks (case studies) in connection with dynamic systems will be presented, with particular emphasis on questions of mathematical modeling and simulation. Students can choose one of these case studies for editing and, depending on their scope, continue to work on their own or in a group. The necessary calculations and simulations are performed using standard software (e.g., MATLAB, Maple, etc.). The results will be documented and interpreted and presented at the end of the project.
