After successful completion of the course, students are able to apply the central concepts and computational techniques of the course M2ET to problems matching the content of the course and to solve these. This includes the ability to understand and explain these concepts and techniques.

Preparing for class by independent working on and solving assigned problems; blackboard presentations and discussions of solutions; answering questions concerning the problems and the relevant mathematical background; if needed solutions of problems will be presented by lecturer; written tests during and at the end of the semster.
