After successful completion of the course, students are able to correctly apply the central concepts and computational techniques of the course. This includes the ability to understand and explain these concepts and techniques.

 The following topics are covered:

• vector spaces, matrices, systems of linear equations, scalar product, eigenvalue problem;
• functions of several variables, derivatives, Taylor series, extreme values, inverse and implicit functions, coordinate transformations;
• differential equations, elementary solution techniques, linear differential equations;
• integral calculus in higher dimensions.

In class the concepts and methods are motivated, explained and illustrated through examples. Lecture notes and suitable textbooks should be used in addition.

Die Kommunikation zur Vorlesung erfolgt  über den  TUWEL-Kurs der  Vorlesung. Sie können sich selber zu Beginn in den TUWEL-Kurs einschreiben.

Eine Anmeldung zur Vorlesung ist aktuell nicht notwendig.

Für die Vorlesungsprüfung ist allerdings (vor dem jeweiligen Termin) eine Anmeldung via TISS notwendig.

Die Prüfung erfolgt schriftlich. Es sind Beispiele zu lösen sowie Fragen zur Theorie zu beantworten.
