Learning outcomes

After successful completion of the course,
students are able to understand and present materials from the mathematical literature,
not only in an 1:1 reproduction but in their personal way
concerning the presentment and interpretation.

Subject of course

We deal with the numerical treatment of ordinary differential equations (ODEs),
one of the most important fields in Numerical Analysis.
The first talk will possibly be given by the professors to specify and illustrate
the most important basic notions which characterize numerical methods.
Further talks to be presented by the students will be devoted to various
classes of problems and numerical methods.
